Design and Development

KALE Design and Development unit has been developing unique cooling and warming (HVAC) module and separate cooling elements designs in line with the customer needs utilizing technological advancements. Cooling modules are able to developed for both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric cars.

Product design and development activities have been one of the great engineering strengths of KALE today.

KALE R&D Center has been using Catia V5 and UG as 3D Solid Modelling program in the Design and Development activities. In addition, Autodesk integrated design software programs have been some of the programs used in 2D/3D modelling activities. The company have been conducting product design and development activities successfully customized for its customers by utilizing computer aided simulation programs such as Full System Simulation, FEA and CFD in the engineering development programs.

KALE Engineering team has the infrastructure to conduct product development at design level as a design development partner with OEM and OES customers and its project partners both inside and outside the company. The activities conducted for product development are product design and simulation, quick prototype manufacturing, internal laboratory approval tests and customer approval transactions in the final process in order. Next process after the design approval is the proper mold and apparatuses making. Computer aided production programs (CAM) which are important process of mold production are being utilized in the current CNC controlled counters in KALE mold processing center.
Following the process of products going into mass production in the sector as well as design and development activities are some of the tasks of the KALE Engineering team.

Kale with the quality, customer orientation, resilience, innovation and result focus has evolved into a brand sought by vehicle manufacturers in engine cooling and heating systems design and production thanks to the production process updated according to the new technological advancements. Testing and simulation systems are being developed by closely following the new technologies applied to the cooling systems. We aim to ensure continuous improvement of our R&D employees with more innovative and creative methods. We conduct our activities to increase our employees’ qualifications.

All these activities have improved our R&D culture progressing continuously. The company continues its R&D achievements in the design of engine cooling and heating systems within cabin (HVAC) and development of current products for the vehicles with internal combustion engine and electric cars.
